Bay Laurel Center for Psychotherapy originally opened as Bay Laurel Center for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in 1992. Founding partners were psychiatrist Peter Owens and psychotherapists Linda Hutton, Elaine Smith and Charlie White.
Bay Laurel has remained at 110 Manly Street in downtown Greenville since the day it opened and still has the relaxed, warm, nurturing, home-like feel that many have come to know over the years.
Bay Laurel is now home to 13 therapists who provide services for a multitude of issues across the lifespan. Some therapists serve remotely as virtual associates, while most are in house. We are all well-known and well-respected members of the community who interact with a number of nonprofit organizations, boards and agencies.
Our reputation is valuable. We honor the past and current clinicians who have worked hard to establish and maintain this legacy. We expect and trust that any clinician onboarding with us demonstrates personal and professional integrity, allowing Bay Laurel to continue to flourish and positively impact our community for years to come.
